What’s the point of big data, when it’s all so unconnected?

Our behaviour…our choices…our experiences…the way our body works…our immediate environment - all of this is constantly being recorded and turned into data. Unfortunately, most of this data exists in a vast universe of separate, unconnected streams. What if all this data could be woven together into a more useful, more meaningful, ‘bigger picture’ - which we could access at any time, to add richer context to our future decisions?

So we had an idea:

What if we could harness the power of artificial intelligence and machine learning to reconstitute all these separate data streams into a single representation of our ‘digital selves’?

And what if this could all be done on a highly personal level, giving each person full control and ownership of their ‘digital self’?

This was when AVATR® was born.

The thinking behind AVATR goes beyond just collating and reconstituting a multitude of data streams into a meaningful digital version of ourselves.

Our starting point: targeting precision medicine

With the population of 65+ year-olds projected to increase by 8% by 2020, half of all global healthcare expenditures - about $4 trillion - will be spent on lifestyle conditions such as heart disease, stroke and diabetes.

So, in bringing AVATR to life, we’ve chosen to begin our journey with precision medicine - focusing on the management of lifestyle-related conditions for both patients and their physicians.
